Successful Supplemental Essay Example From Our Accepted Alumni Student:
With the [Town] Partnership of Youth & Families, I had the opportunity to work with a local coalition to reduce and prevent youth substance abuse. I was fortunate to deliver presentations on youth substance abuse survey results, examine trends, and promote positive developmental assets throughout our community.
As the Director of my high school’s Peer Mentoring Program, I worked to recruit academically-motivated juniors and seniors to tutor underclassmen.
With Future Business Leaders of America, I was able to cultivate interest and understanding of business and entrepreneurship through fundraising events. I also had the opportunity to build business and leadership skills through workshops and field trips.
As Student Government President, I had the opportunity to lead cabinet meetings to plan and direct school-wide events. Together, we facilitated the Homecoming Dance, Blood Drives, Spirit Week, Battle of the Classes, Underclassmen Awards, Senior Award, Graduation, Christmas Toy Drive, Thanksgiving Food Drive, and Positivity Week.
